Ah, the beauty of March in upstate New York. The snow is now black, shiny ice. Lost mittens - and bikes - surface once more in the mud. The midday temperatures reach just high enough to make a mess of the landscape before freezing over again in the evening.
Still, the crocuses will push through in time. If you'd rather see mud than crocuses, here is an alternate image for you. Both are details from photos by William Roesly.
